About Chelsea (founder)
Hi, I’m Chelsea, the founder of Baby Nap Whisperer and your guide to calmer, more predictable days and more restful nights. As a baby sleep consultant, I help parents from all walks of life turn inconsistent naps and sleepless nights into healthy, predictable routines. My approach is rooted in evidence based methods, responsive care, and a whole lot of heart. I truly believe every baby can learn to sleep confidently, and every parent deserves support that feels personal, practical, and calming. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your family, supports your baby’s development, and brings back the peace you’ve been craving, one successful nap at a time.
My passion for sleep training began with my first child, Quinn. When she was about 10-12 weeks old, I found myself scrolling deep on reddit during a two hour contact nap and decided to dive headfirst into the world of baby sleep, wake windows, and sleep training. I started with the well known Taking Cara Babies method, which worked to a point, but I knew there had to be a better fit for our family. Around 16 weeks, I committed fully to sleep training, pulling together gentle elements from several different approaches. Within about five days, Quinn learned to sleep independently, with of course a few off days here and there, as all babies have. After that she was sleeping through the night by 5 1/2 months and I had to tell everyone I knew about what I discovered. Especially as a full time working mom, rest was IMPORTANT to me and my husband.
I had my son, almost 2.5 years later and couldn't wait to implementing sleep training and looked forward to the days when I could get my free time back, even for 1-2hrs during nap time. Then, I used the same method I used on my daughter, and he had learned to sleep independently in just 3 days. I knew I had something. Of course I tweaked my plan a bit because we all know every baby is different. He was way more obsessed with mom than my daughter was, so I knew I had to implement important skills to navigate his personality.
Since then I have helped over a dozen friends/family members with their baby's sleep. There is no one size fits all solution, and I’ve found the greatest success comes from creating thoughtful, flexible plans that truly support both baby and mom/dad's personality and demeanor. The very first step of each of my programs is to get to know your needs (& baby's) and personality and then create a personalized plan specific for you. Thanks for taking the time to read about me.
